Ever wanted to experience a Scouting summer camp? To hang out with new and old friends while getting to do a wide range of activities that can only happen at camp? Maybe even to work on the prestigious Ranger Award? Well, guess what?! You can do all these things and more at Ranger Week.
Ranger Week is a week-long high adventure program held during Week 4 of summer camp at Camp McKee. To put it simply, Ranger Week is awesome. You’ll get the chance to build experiences that you may never have done before!
Here are just a few of the things you’ll get to do: shooting sports (including pistols!), wilderness survival, cooking, hiking, land navigation, first aid, and more! There will be time for you to participate in the camp’s evening program activities and also to kick back around the fire and relax. Supported by the massive skillset of the summer camp staff, the Ranger Week staff are dedicated to making sure that you have an outstanding experience.
The best part of all these activities? They’re fun, but they also count towards your Ranger Award! The program has been planned to help you knock out around half, or more, of the total requirements. The best part, though, is that you’ll be having so much fun that you might not even notice how much you’re getting done.
There is currently no information about when the next Ranger Week will occur.
